This wine is 100% sustainably produced and vegan friendly. It has been crafted carefully for greater length while retaining true Awatere Valley finesse and elegance.
Attractive, concentrated sauvignon blanc with typical Awatere tomato leaf, green capsicum, gooseberry and lime zest flavours plus a suggestion of wet stone mineral character. A weighty, textural wine.
Blend of Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris
A wine with a delicious and fresh nose, a powerful bouquet of citrus and exotic fruits. The mouth is round, soft, then gives way to a fresh and harmonious finish. Enjoy with seafood, grilled fish or even as an aperitif
A convergence of flavours from vineyards located on the banks of the Wairau and Awatere rivers. Harvested at optimum ripeness, the grapes were gently pressed and fermented, at cool temperatures, in stainless steel to maximise fruit purity and character. A percentage of the wine was aged on fine lees for 3 months, adding texture, complexity and increased mouth feel to the palate.
Bright straw with golden/green hues, it has an abundance of ripe tropical fruit aromas overlaid with exotic gooseberry and an attractive herbal pungency. The palate balances great concentration with stylish elegance. Fresh, balanced and persistent flavours leading to a long mineral finish.
Nicolas Millerioux, Sancerre, Tradition
100% Sauvignon Blanc
“Nicolas has crafted an eye-catching Sancerre of wonderful purity, vibrancy and authenticity. Tightly wound, precisely etched citrus fruits vie for attention with a delicate hint of nectarine and white peach. A telling minerality adds to the sense of vitality, keeping the palate energised and refreshed.”

The grapes were thinned to one bunch per shoot to increase concentration and flavour. All leaves were removed from the fruiting zone to achieve maximum ripeness and to avoid any unripe characters. Grapes were hand-picked and whole bunch pressed directly into 7 year old hogshead barrels, for wild fermentation. Aged on full yeast lees and stirred regularly for 10 months, with a small portion going through malolactic fermentation.
Offers a savoury nose with aromas of lemon balm, lanolin oil and apricot kernal, combined with biscuity notes. The oak is well-integrated providing complexity and structure.
100% Sauvignon Blanc
Les Romains lies on a flint terroir located in the eastern part of Sancerre. Here the soils have a strong resemblance to the terroir across the Loire river in Pouilly-Fumé. There is a definite smoky and flinty quality to the wine that is backed with a piquant and delicate citrus fruitiness reminiscent of grapefruit.
La Vie Blanc du Castel is a blend of strains – Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and a touch of Gewurztraminer.
The wine undergoes a long fermentation period, under cold temperatures and carefully cared for conditions. It is lightly golden in color, refreshing, and offers a rich finish. The wine bears a fruity aroma with a tropical tint and lemony sharpness. The recommended serving temperature is 8 degrees Celsius.
