Sauvignon Blanc grapes were sourced from a single vineyard site on the banks of the Awatere River. The grapes were harvested in the early hours of the morning to retain crisp varietal character. Pinot Noir grapes were hand picked and hand sorted. Very gently pressed the wines were blended 94% Sauvignon Blanc, 6% Pinot Noir to accentuate pure aromatics.

 

Vibrant pale strawberry in colour. Ripe tropical fruit on the nose with notes of vanilla pod, oriental spice and bell pepper. The palate is packed full of cranberry and mulberry fruit characters and vibrant mouth-watering acidity, making this wine incredibly moreish and drinkable.

A refreshingly dry Pinot Gris with great concentration. Attractive aromas of apricot mingle with fresh fig. The palate has a rounded core with flavours of ripe yellow stonefruits entwined with delicate notes of tropical fruits and exotic florals.

A warm summer allowed the grapes to ripen perfectly and the cool Marlborough nights harnessed the acidity to give definition to the wine. Harvested in the early hours of the morning to preserve fruit purity. The grapes were slowly and gently pressed. After a cool, long fermentation the wine was aged on fine lees for 6 weeks to allow the natural weight of the wine to develop.

The wine is sweetly fruited and fragrant on the nose showing spiced cherry, strawberry, game and mushroom characters with subtle nutty complexity.

The palate is succulent and smooth with ripe berry flavours together with elegant savoury nuances, backed by polished tannins. 

The grapes were harvested and then fermented in small open top cuvees and hand plunged 4 times per day. Very gently pressed, the wine was aged with a mix of new and old French oak for 4 months prior to light filtration before bottling.

A convergence of flavours from vineyards located on the banks of the Wairau and Awatere rivers. Harvested at optimum ripeness, the grapes were gently pressed and fermented, at cool temperatures, in stainless steel to maximise fruit purity and character. A percentage of the wine was aged on fine lees for 3 months, adding texture, complexity and increased mouth feel to the palate.

An extremely hot, dry vintage combined with cooler nights and clay-rich soils contributed to very small berries, which gave a lifted nose and good intensity of fruit from the Mt. Victoria Block. Lightly pressed after fermentation the wine was then aged in 100% seasoned French oak.

Sourced from 18 year old vines from a single vineyard site in the Upper Wairau Valley. Hand-picked over two different passes to deliver a broader flavour spectrum, the grapes were then lightly whole bunch pressed and fermented at cool temperatures (7 degrees) to retain crisp fruit intensity. Fermentation was stopped when the sugar and acidity were perfectly balanced. The acidity, texture and minerality of this wine interplay harmoniously. 

Aromas of honeydew melon and apricot kernel are mixed with an underlying touch of mandarin peel and lanolin.The palate is full of character, releasing juicy mandarin fruit with bright citrus and spicy undertones.

Sourced from our Brookby Hill Vineyard in the Southern Valleys, the grapes were hand harvested and partially de-stemmed before undergoing 50% wild fermentation. 30% whole bunch clusters were added to the ferment for an increased lift in aromatics and structure. The resulting wine was aged in 25% new and seasoned French oak barrels for 11 months. The wine was unfined and unfiltered. 

Dark crimson in colour, the bouquet has lifted floral aromas of violets and wild thyme combined with red fruits and a savoury earthiness. The palate has crushed raspberries and bright red cherry flavours interlaced with forest floor, coffee bean and bramble nuances. Velvety tannins and firm structure will insure this wine ages gracefully.
