Two Rivers, Clos des Pierres, Chardonnay
Sourced from a single vineyard.
Hand harvested, lightly whole bunch pressed, with wild fermentation barrel and intermittent stirring of the lees for 10 months. Partial malolactic fermentation followed by 11months ageing in 20% new barrels followed by light filtration before bottling.
A golden straw colour with aromas of white flowers and camomile mingling with honeycomb and nutmeg. The palate offers juicy pineapple and nectarine flavours with oak offering support alongside underlying old-vine minerality.

Clos des Pierres is French for place of stones and gives reference to The Spring Vineyard which has extremely stony soils.
Together with several key sites across Marlborough’s two main valleys. After embarking on BioGro NZ organic conversion in 2020, no synthetic chemical fertilisers, pesticides or herbicides are used at Brookby Hill Vineyard.
Winemaking techniques include natural fermentation, aging in concrete egg tanks, large oak cuvees, an assortment of French oak barrels and clay amphoras, as well as bottling wine un-fined and unfiltered to retain complexity and texture.
