Cherry Block will take you on a journey to a special part of New Zealand, the southernmost wine region in the world, Central Otago. The extreme continental climate of Central Otago is one of fiercely cold nights and long summer days. It is these intense conditions combined with the lush surrounding cherry orchards that serve to create the vivid, rich and spicy nature of Cherry Block Pinot Noir.
Grapes were hand picked then whole bunch pressed and juice settled for 4 hours. They were barrique fermented in French Oak barriques (27% new) and aged for 10 months before blending. A full malolactic fermentation occurred in spring, followed by lees stirring in winter every 2 weeks to stop post malolactic fermentation.
Ripe peach and grapefruit aromatics on nose. Underneath hints of butter scotch and toasty oak. Creamy malolactic notes on palate, with tropical fruits sitting nicely on top. Rich and full bodied, whilst showing nice balance and elegance.

It is intensely aromatic on the nose showing passionfruit, kaffir lime, green rockmelon and lemon zest characters. The palate is equally impressive, displaying excellent fruit purity and vibrancy, backed by juicy acidity, leading to a lengthy mouth-watering finish.
Attractively fruited and nicely fragrant, the bouquet shows nectarine, rockmelon, fig and lemon peel characters with a touch of vanilla complexity. The palate delivers succulent fruit intensity and rounded mouthfeel, well supported by creamy texture and refreshing acidity, finishing smooth and lingering.

A deep, dark, fruit driven nose with loads of dark cherry and spicy plums as well as a touch of warm oak. The palate is rich and full, and oozes with dark fruit flavours. Blackberry and dark cherry flavours combine with a rich toasty oak and a fruit toast type spicy finish.
Sauvignon Blanc grapes were sourced from a single vineyard site on the banks of the Awatere River. The grapes were harvested in the early hours of the morning to retain crisp varietal character. Pinot Noir grapes were hand picked and hand sorted. Very gently pressed the wines were blended 94% Sauvignon Blanc, 6% Pinot Noir to accentuate pure aromatics.
Vibrant pale strawberry in colour. Ripe tropical fruit on the nose with notes of vanilla pod, oriental spice and bell pepper. The palate is packed full of cranberry and mulberry fruit characters and vibrant mouth-watering acidity, making this wine incredibly moreish and drinkable.
Our wine making style focuses on producing a well balanced Pinot Noir that is finely structured and has both elegance and texture. The fruit was hand harvested and immediately taken to the winery,where the grapes were 90% destemmed. The must then underwent cool pre ferment maceration for seven days.100% natural fermentation was followed by nineteen days ontheskins.Elevenmonthsin French oak barriques of which 20% were new.
Rich, ripe and seductive. Spicy notes dominate the nose, with back ground aromas of dark cherries and a hint of liquorice that fill the glass. The palate has a richness and velvet like complexion from harvesting fully ripe grapes.

Fruit was sourced from three vineyards within the lower Awatere and Ward areas of Southern Marlborough. Upon reaching optimum flavour, development and ripeness, the fruit was transported to the winery and pressed off with minimum skin contact. The resulting juice was cool fermented in stainless steel to retain freshness and zingy acidity.
A lifted noses howing aromas of passion fruit, white peach and grapefruit combined with refreshing herbal and mineral notes. Light bodied and refreshing, with typical Marlborough flavours of passion fruit, blackcurrant and grapefruit. A pleasing herbaceous thread leads to a long finish.
A refreshingly dry Pinot Gris with great concentration. Attractive aromas of apricot mingle with fresh fig. The palate has a rounded core with flavours of ripe yellow stonefruits entwined with delicate notes of tropical fruits and exotic florals.

A warm summer allowed the grapes to ripen perfectly and the cool Marlborough nights harnessed the acidity to give definition to the wine. Harvested in the early hours of the morning to preserve fruit purity. The grapes were slowly and gently pressed. After a cool, long fermentation the wine was aged on fine lees for 6 weeks to allow the natural weight of the wine to develop.
This special wine takes its name from the owners' two very special Olivia's, Freddie's wife Olivia and James' first born daughter Olivia. Fruit for this wine is selected the best rows of Pinot Noir on the Ward Valley Estate Coastal Block. The fruit was carefully harvested before being transferred to the winery to cold soaked on the skins for 4 hours. This « time on the skin’s » gives the wine it’s salmon pink colour.
On the nose we have lifted aromas of strawberry and raspberry, along with hints of citrus and floral notes. The palate is dry and shows some complex flavours of raspberry, strawberry and melon. This makes for a dry style wine, brilliantly structured by crisp acidity, finishing long and mouth-watering.
