South-West
A huge part of France that has always been a less recognised area since Bordeaux was used as the main trade point back in the 1800's pushing the South West out of the way of recognition.
Producing a great range of different styles from dry to sweet whites, sparkling and medium to full bodied reds. Jurancon, Cahor, Bergerac are some very well known regions.
Madrian is also a region within the South West producing wines using the Tannat grape (a thick skinned with lots of tannins and flavours of black fruits)
