100% Aligote (The sister grape to Chardonnay in Burgundy)
Fermentation and ageing in French oak barrels for 11months (20% new oak barrels)
A deep golden colour, with a nose of butter and cream, with baked apple and citrus notes. Following onto a palate with vanilla and a slight smokiness.
Philippe Cordonnier has been in contact with the vine since his youth.
After a training in Beaune, he learned the trade of winegrower by working in several Burgundy estates. In 2009, he decided to create his own Domaine in Corgoloin north of Ladoix-Serrigny between the Côtes de Beaune and Côtes de Nuits area.
In 2015, he made his first vintage. Today, the estate extends over 4.50 hectares in 11 different appellations. Philippe manages the estate using sustainable and integrated vine growing methods, with the goal of using as few chemical products as possible. He is committed to respecting the terroir and the environment.
For once, this winegrower does not come from a winegrower's family! However, Philippe Cordonnier has the experience of an elder and fell into the vineyard in his youth. The wines from Domaine Cordonnier are full of fruits and will please Chardonnay and Pinot Noir lovers.
