Grown on stoney pebbles, 15 year old vines.
To start the wines are pumped over and treading is used to ensure the richness of the colour and flavours are retained.

A dense and black cherry colour. Classic characteristics of a ripe Syrah on black fruits. The palate is structured and fleshy and offers delicious notes of ripe fruits. It ends with a lingering finish with a hint of spices
Food and wine pairing ideal for a barbecue amongst friends, with a platter of cold cuts or a good Camembert cheese.
Grandson of a local winegrower, Jean-Francois founded this small five-hectares Domaine in 2010 in Vion in the North of Tournon. He has just been joined by his son.
The steep, terraced vineyards need a lot of hard work, necessitating everything to be done by hand, as tractors and machines can’t get anywhere near. The view on the Rhone river valley from these granite stony hills is breath taking. Sun, stone and Rhône combine to produce ripe fruits with a lot of minerality, fragrance and freshness. A small family producer passionate about his terroir and his native land, Jean-Francois ticks all the boxes to join Wine Story’s team.
