“Wonderfully pure and expressive bouquet redolent of black summer berries. Bold, ripe and exuberantly juicy with a counterbalancing edge of youthful tannin.” Neil Sommerfelt - Master of Wine
“Made with fruit from younger vines and sandy clay plots. Very tasty, with nuanced aromatics. Lively and light with a smooth finish. Quite fruit-forward but still has a certain depth. Pleasant and elegant. The property is farmed organically and is currently working towards biodynamic certification. Drink 2024-2025 “ Decanter - Bordeaux Guide 2024 Tasted by Lin Liu - Master of Wine - 92 Points
The name 'Tour des Termes' comes from an old feudal style tower that still stands on a plot called Les Termes, which was part of an ancient Gallo-Roman site. Chateau Tour des Termes has a family history that can be traced back several centuries, which is very unusual in Saint-Estephe.Since 1678, successive generations have gradually made the property what it is today.
Jean Anney, his son Christophe and his granddaughter Aurelie currently uphold the family tradition. Most importantly, the Chateau's wine stands out in the Saint Estephe appellation for its finesse and elegance, due to serval factors: a selection from finest terroirs, a typical planting with a majority of Merlot, a vineyard that has reached full maturity and environmentally friendly growing methods.
