The grapes were thinned to one bunch per shoot to increase concentration and flavour. All leaves were removed from the fruiting zone to achieve maximum ripeness and to avoid any unripe characters. Grapes were hand-picked and whole bunch pressed directly into 7 year old hogs head barrels, for wild fermentation. Aged on full yeast lees and stirred regularly for 10 months, with as mall portion going through malolactic fermentation.

La Vie Blanc du Castel is a blend of strains – Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and a touch of Gewurztraminer.
The wine undergoes a long fermentation period, under cold temperatures and carefully cared for conditions. It is lightly golden in color, refreshing, and offers a rich finish. The wine bears a fruity aroma with a tropical tint and lemony sharpness. The recommended serving temperature is 8 degrees Celsius.

Grapes are sourced from the plot known as Marbella, or Escobal, planted in 1995 from a selection of the family’s best Tempranillo planted at an altitude of 547 m above sea level with a slight south-west orientation. Their first certified eco vineyard.
