A typical "old style" fresh and vibrant Chablis. This fruity, floral, unoaked Chardonnay is the perfect accompaniment to poultry, pork and white fish.
Vinification: The must is allowed to settle before fermentation (débourbage) which is done in stainless steel lined cement vats that are temperature controlled. Malolactic fermentation and then matured on lees for seven months.
Story: Established in 1970 Domaine d’Elise is comparatively young compared to many Burgundian estates. Bought by Frederic Prain in 1982 when he decided to swap civil engineering for winemaking – though he did keep his magnificent sports car collection. A distinguishing characteristic of all Prain’s wines is very ripe rich fruit and roundness, due to the grapes being harvested later than usual.
