The grapes grows on the terraces on the top of a hill, the soil is the one you can find at the ancient terrace Villafranchien. Pebbles and clay gives to this soil an optimal quality.

In mouth you will first feel the taste of red fruits, (cherry and currant). With the time the wine develops towards a more spicy fragrance (liquorice / cinnamon). The tannins are there but soft and assure the quality of the wine.

Organic vines between 51 & 58 years old. Hand harvested with careful sorting.
Natural yeasts, no fining, no filtration, 2mg/l sulphites before bottling.
A medium bodied wine full of ripe, crunchy, dark-berry fruit, with spice and liquorice aromas and a soft, supple texture balanced with juicy brightness.
Cuvée Tradition
50% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 20% Mourvèdre, 10% Cinsault.
Ageing: 12 months in oak barrels.
100% Syrah, 50% of the wine is aged in barrels.

The Cuvee Sainte-Epine in St-Jean-de-Muzols, named after the most famous plot of vine in all the Saint-Joseph red appellation, it is shared with other renowed domains such as the brothers Gonon who purchased it in the mid 2000s from the iconic retiring Raymond Trollat. After rented a small parcel (equivalent of 3 barrels) for few years Jean-Francois just purchased it with his son Hugo.
Very ripe black fruits, velvity tannins (the Jacouton signature) with a full-bodied palate. Grand vin, testimony of top French Northern Rhone Syrah.
100% Syrah, lighter style compared to some other very full bodied Cornas.
100% Viognier
There are now plantings of Viognier in Languedoc and even in various other countries but this grape’s spiritual homeland is in Condrieu – where the finest Viogniers are produced from just over 100 hectares of vineyards. The wines are dry with a wonderful floral nose of peaches, apricots, violets and pears with low acidity.
Blend of 13 grapes; 50% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 15% Mourvèdre, 10% Cinsault and 10% blend of Counoise, Terret Noir, Muscardin, Picpoul, Vaccarese, Roussane, Picardan, Clairette and Bourboulenc. 15hl/ha.
Aged 18 months in oak barrels.
